What is game sharing on the Sony Psp for and how does it work?
I recieved a Sony Psp a few weeks ago for my birthday. I saw the game sharing icon and wondered what it was for and how it worked, I looked in the owners manuel for an answer but it was of no help it did not specify what game sharing was or how it was suppose to be used, all it said was that the game munuels would inducate if it was possible to use game sharing for that specific game. I checked the Libirty City Stories Manuel but it also had no useful informatiion on what game sharing was for.

Game Sharing is pretty self-explanitory. You share games with other PSP users.
PSP's come with Ad Hoc networking, meaning you can connect to another PSP within about..oh..50 feet or so. If both of the PSP's connecting are on the same channel, you can game share.
Game sharing just shares or uploads a game to another PSP via Ad Hoc networking. So, instead of using the internet to play games with other people, you can share a game you have with your friend and play w/o internet. But it's not a fully functional game. Once you disconnect from playing, your friend doesn't have the game anymore. You have to share again. Unfortunetely, it doesn't make a copy of the game on the other players Memory Stick.
To Game Share, you need another person with a PSP searching on a channel, preferably channel Automatic. You click the Game Share icon, and your PSP will find another PSP on channel Automatic..hopefully. Both PSP's will show each other's name on both of them. Click the name of the one you want to game share with, he will hopefully accept it, and it will load the game. It takes about 5-10 minutes.
